Michael Van Sant
Investment Advisor Representative
I grew up in Pasadena, California, and began my investment career there in 1995 after graduating from the University of Colorado with a bachelor’s degree in International Business. I moved to Seattle in 2000 to be closer to the mountains, and when I am not working, I love spending time outdoors with my wife Cara, son Chris, and daughter Caitlin. Together, we love to ski, hike, camp, boat, and ride bikes. I am a member of POW (Protect our Winters) a regular blood donor, and the Executive Director of Act of Giving.

I became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERâ„¢ in 2005, and since then, I have worked exclusively as a fee-only fiduciary for my clients. Â Sustainable Life Balance Group was created to help people use their resources to align with their values. We focus not only on money but also on the most precious resource of time. We build a plan together to balance work/sabbatical/retirement, spending/giving/saving using both growth and conservative investments to meet your goals through the lens of your values.
